Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I was wondering why it was closed because

When it was closed there was no reason given and the name of the moderator who closed it was not shown. I know that there was warning's over some of the contributions. However if some posters fail to follow the rules they should be notified and then suspended rather than a thread being closed.

The reality is that the topic was emotive and drifted into other area's. However the reality of dealing with the Irish Economy at present is that all cuts are interconnected and it is hard dealing with one area without dealing right accross the spectrum.

I know the Moderators have to make decisions however I believe that it is unfair to close down a thread that had a high level of contribution and discussion in it. If you look at it another way from now on if you dislike a thread all you have to do is get another few posters with like views take it off line and start posting controversial material and get the thread closed.

PS Will this will be shut down as well.

    Hi Pudsey,

yes, I'm afraid this is going to be shut down too, because this is not how you ask why a thread was closed. Either put such a request in the feedback thread in the main forum or PM the mods, please.

    moderately,
