Ragtime

Recently been listening to a lot of old ragtime classics, would love to get into learning it. It's a long shot, but if anyone knows of any ragtime societies or groups, preferably in Dublin, that would be amazing.

Also, I'm coming from a pretty classical background, but is the whole ragtime piano technique generally just a self-taught thing, or is there tuition available in any format?

Apologies if this is the wrong forum, I figure rag-time music is pretty close to jazz in how improvisation can feature heavily!
