Advice on cheap build please

Hi All,

Just looking to build a cheap computer for a friend... think I just need RAM, CPU, GFX Card & MOBO ??

Did some shopping around myself but I just want to be sure everything I get would be compatible.

Any advise would be appreciated, thanks..

1. What is your budget? 200eur if possible

2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? Internet , streaming HD films

3. Do you need a copy of Windows? NO

4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? I have a case, 500GB WD HD & 250w PSU.

5. Do you need a monitor? No

5b. If no, what resolution is your current monitor and do you plan to upgrade in the near future?
Not quite sure what resolution the monitor is as I haven't connected it to a computer yet but it's a 24" Dell Monitor which is less than 2 years old...

6. Do you need any of these peripherals? No other peripherals needed.

7. Are you willing to try overclocking? No

8. How can you pay? cash/cheque/credit card

9. When are you purchasing? asap

Remove the bits you don't need. You could go with an i3-2120 set up but on your budget it will be very hard to get a separate gfx card so you'll have to rely on the iGPU until you can get a better PSU and then a video card. The AMD offering will give you better gfx until then.

I added a PSU because I highly doubt a 250W model is any good at all. What make/brand is it?

Edit: If its just being used for internet/streaming you could drop the graphics card and just run off integrated. You could bump the CPU up to an i3 as well:

It doesn't seem like a great idea to recommend Llano... it's a different socket from the Piledriver. I saw on an article that it may still be another little while before we see retail boxes of the new APUs. That's a little disappointing but some motherboard manufacturers might sneak a few FM2 boards out and some tray APUs might float around a bit.

The celeron is good enough for office work and HD videos anyway.
