I do like him as a player but if he is cup tied then 4m seems an awful lot for player whose contact expires in the summer...

I imagine its tied to an estimate of what compensation a tribunal would decide Leeds are due as he came through their youth system

I'd be happy with a clean sheet today.

    0-0 draw

Nice balanced team really set up for counter attack.

I reckon we'll target ivanovic if he's playing

Decent lineup alright. Have to attack a fragile Chelsea. Need wins now for top 6

    You was indeed robbed.

But what a game of football lads. Come on who needs to win when you can entertain. And what entertainment?. Getting long balls into our box and Stones is playing right wing. The entertainment though. That's what it's all about not points. Remember that. What a game.

If he says "we are in a great moment" I will personally go over there and punch him in the face

You guys were indeed robbed. That was one of the more straightforward offside decisions. If the assistant referee was even slightly unsure who the ball came off when it went to terry he should have consulted the ref. That said the ref seemed to be playing on until Chelsea scored. Don't know where he bought his watch. Unlucky.

Total bottle job by the assistant, last kick of the game from the home side.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,722 ✭✭✭nice_guy80

    Well that's favouritism for ya

    Robbed by officials.

We should have put the game to bed at 2-0
Silly mistake from Howard and Jags, then crap defending for their second.
Our inability to manage a game situation is ridiculous.

Throwing away a lead again. Some say, "at least it's exciting". What a load of ****.

This is just as annoying as Terry offering your wife a lift to work.

Yeah Roberto, because that's been working like a dream so far.... clown!!

If we don't win this we'll be looking over our shoulder.

Tell the fans to calm down now stones

What an idiotic thing to do

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,725 ✭✭✭✭blueser

Stones is prone to the odd fcuk up. He is young though, and he should be able to eradicate them as he gets more experience. But, at the moment, he's nowhere near a £50m defender.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,185 ✭✭✭Gavlor

    Shocking stuff so far

I'm guessing for the second goal Roberto will focus on William's hand ball rather Ayew ghosting into the area unnoticed by our defenders

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,066 ✭✭✭✭eh i dunno

Can we sack him at half time?

Oviedo is a poor right back

    What a miss by Coleman.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,066 ✭✭✭✭eh i dunno

Shambolic performance. 1 win in ten. Since the start of last season we've won as many as we've lost at Goodison. Time for the spoofer to be sacked

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,113 ✭✭✭Lumbo

A win on Wednesday is essential

Leicester: Individuals that as a team are greater than the sum of their parts.

Everton: Individuals who don't know how to play as a team, without structure or leadership.

    Booby: Straight garbo.

I honestly couldn't care less about Wednesday

If we win the league cup it's a plaster on a poor season and the spoofer will keep his job

No ambitious club or player cares about the league cup. It's not even the top cup competition in England.

Bobby should go. He promised top 4 and he is further from delivering than ever. If we arent utterly disappointed by not even challenging for top 4 then we are going nowhere and maybe Rafa was right and we are a small club

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,758 ✭✭✭Laois_Man

    Martinez has to go
    It's worse it's getting
If we go out on Wednesday he has to go
I'd even be happy if I thought he'd be sacked at the end of the season (even if we win the league cup) but not even that will happen if Bill is still in charge.

16 wins in 62. Is that true? Unbelieveable if it is

When I started supporting Everton - mid 80's -we were termed a big 5 club - and that we were - sadly under Bill Kenwright and previous ownership the club has gone backwards - overtaken by Chelsea, Arsenal and Man City, where we are now a mid-table team .
Any word on the new take-over , or is this more Bill ****e ?

It wouldn't take much to turn things round and return Everton to its rightful position, but thats not going to happen under current ownership. Rant over.

Takeover has collapsed. New interest from China, Middle East and Cavan.

I've watched this about 20 times and still can't work out why Howard steps backwards when ayew is coming towards him. If Howard came to meet the admittedly short back pass he would have got there first. Clown.

Even Martinez' biggest apologists must surely now wake up.
I've a very simple reason behind why this absolute chancer has to go - he is making an almighty bags of our best squad in 2 decades.
    End of argument.

    It's an utter shambles

If I was in charge of a department at work and our figures/results were getting worse as each year passed I would get the sack

No amount of "we are in a great moment" hardluck stories would change that - so why do people in the media accept it from Martinez? Why aren't more people in the media questioning how poorly we are performing with the players at our disposal?

    It's baffling...

    Just saw this on GOT

    We have won 1 in 10, 6 in 23 and 18 in 61.

Why am I not surprised - there seams to be constant interest but never anything concrete - and the reign of Bill continues with more and more broken promises - depressing

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,231 ✭✭✭Hercule Poirot

    Roberto's PL record with Everton:

    P 99 W 39 (39.4%) D 31 (31.3%) L 29 (29.3%)

Very average return from one of our best teams in decades - definitely not good enough

Its now 9 months since we win 2 league games in a row.
