The adapter isn't needed because ego batteries have both connections, but I would recommend adding one of these thread covers as it gives better support for the tank.
Saying that I'm going to recommend an alternative to the tank you've listed above (an extra €4.86 but you get more carto's and a huge difference in build quaility)

The boge carto's are generally regarded as the best available although you will have to make a small hole in them to work with a tank.
You can buy a special tool for doing this or what I do is sharpen the point of a nail, quick tap of the hammer and i'm good to go
As for using them properly have a look at this video on how to fill a carto:
Remove the top cap of your tank, insert your prefilled carto from the bottom, fill the tank with juice, put the top cap back on, insert drip tip......vape
