Hoping someone can help me out. My TV screen has now developed a large blacked out area covering roughly the bottom third of the screen. Hoping someone can help me out. My TV screen has now developed a large blacked out area covering roughly the bottom third of the screen. Has anyone suffered the same problem and, if so, were you able to fix it? The TV is only a couple of years old, and I don't want to have to shell out for a new set if I can help it. It's not a problem with the Sky box as it is hooked up via the magic eye to a set in another room, which is working fine. And it seems to be not a HDMI problem as I have a bluray player hooked up to the Samsung via a second HDMI input on the set and that has the same problem.

Not sure what I was thinking. It's an LG, not a samsung!
