It is a web page...not an app. As has been pointed out there is no real _need_ for an app. :)

More bugs. Markree and Athenry not user selectable in station reports/default station reports.

    .
Speak for yourself, many of us on the other hand would prefer an app, you don't have to use the app if it comes out.

Not entirely on topic but I see the main site has added lots of the other stations to their latest reports page. Might have been there a while but I only noticed today :)

That's right. The latest reports from the full range of stations, 25 in all, are now on the websites. Some of the stations don't report the full range of parameters, such as wind and/or present weather, so these will show up as blanks. Monthly data for all these stations is also available here http://www.met.ie/climate/monthly-data.asp, and daily data here http://www.met.ie/climate/daily-data.asp.

just a minor thing but Mace Head is listed as "Macehead" in the monthly reports. It is, in fact, two words...:D

Are there any plans to install present weather detectors and/or ceilometers at any of the newly added synoptic stations and add these to the pilot briefing pseudo Metars?

Thats right Su. Athenry is on the flight path into Galway after all :)

Galway Airport metars are on the briefing service the very odd time but on most occasions the reports are missing. Not sure why, but knowing how the airport has been run in general it doesn't surprise me.

Met Eireann, any chance of including sea crossings ex Belfast and Larne? Many travellers from the Republic use these routes.

Not for the moment, as it's not a synoptic station.

    Not likely, I'm afraid.

Any chance of smog warnings in winter , now the blight permawarning all summer is gone.

The recession is playing puck and people are back burning illegal coal in towns and cities again. Very bad in Galway ( NUIG could host a particle counter on their roof for yiz)

Another request. Is there any possibility that data from the new stations currently on the hourly reports could be included on the 'Yesterday's Weather' page? It would be very handy to compare and contrast daily data from all the reporting stations in one sweep of the eye.

Did you make a recent update? The rainfall radar doesn't open for me anymore.

Thanks for that! One suggestion though, its missing an option to display weather warnings apart from Marine ones.

Not a app or mobile website question but why isn't the Agricultural Meteorology Data for the past 7 days updated anymore?

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,672 ✭✭✭Speak Now

mobile.met.ie is not working on the Nokia N8. It is redirected back to m.met.ie which only displays part of the page. It is just like it can be viewed on IE on my PC. http://m.met.ie/

It is limiting the page height to the size of the reported screen/window.
There is s tiny scroll bar on the right side of the web page but it is not accessible.

    Hi peeej

Thanks for pointing that out and apologies for the error. We've now fixed the re-direct of mobile.met.ie to m.met.ie and it should be displaying correctly.
