Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

She also knows the best photographer/photoshop editor in the world.
Her official picture on her home page, twitter and wiki:

They came home after "being away" and to their surprise the garage had two stories instead of one.

    Very convenient altogether...

I think Enda Kenny is to Politics what the mad priest, Fr Con Horan is to Sports.

There's bound to be one of those bio-pics, and a suitable title would be "Short arms, deep pockets".

A mix up with the plans and the builder put a second story on to the garage.

Would you ask my arse. Jesus you'd want to be some tool to swallow that lot.

I hate this country. While we're all outraged right now, in a week or two we will have stopped talking about it and she will stay on in her position and we will have a new scandal to be angry about.

The PR advice you get in this country is just "ride it out", eventually "It'll be grand". If we were in another European country she would be shamed into retiring.

To be honest - I think FHE should consider her position or if not then Enda Kenny should consider it for her.

Reacting to the news this afternoon, the Taoiseach says Senator Healy Eames will face the ultimate sanction when she is judged by the public.

Arggh, ya fuckin' gimp, she wasn't elected by her area in the last election, yet you gave her a place in the senate.

Any woman with a double-barrelled name not related to royalty should be clubbed to insensibility with her own shoe.

With that double barrel if you took out "ealyE" you would make a Hames of it!

Being in denial seems to be quite the thing in Irish politics.

Ah come on, she's entitled to a holiday

Every time she opens her mouth, she does even more damage.
The humanity of working from 8-5 every day..

I nearly fell off the chair laughing when i read this bit

".....She continued: "It's very hard work. You have two-and-a-half to three weeks' work in one week. We start at 8 in the morning and don't finish until 5 or 6. That's a lot more work than a day at home......."

I'd say the next ticket she wont be getting will be for election to the Dail the next time around.

    I wouldnt be so sure.

This is the country whose electorate re-elected Bertie Ahern, Ray Burke, Liam Lawlor, Charles Haughey, Michael Lowry, Brian Lenihan Senior among a whole host of others.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 31,117 ✭✭✭✭snubbleste

    I agree.
She's only been rejected by the electorate three times. Maybe this is her way of gaining publicity and name recognition.

Exactly, I read that article and thought. Good lord, you have absolutely no idea how the real world works do you?!

Poor, poor lady... had to work from 8 am until 5 pm. Will the tragedies never stop for her!

If working a full 8 hour day means 2.5 to 3 times a regular week are they really only working 3 hours a day usually?

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 31,117 ✭✭✭✭snubbleste

She had no iron and had to have someone wash her hair. That's definitely a breach of human rights.

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Yes this obviously is a 'witch hunt' and "we are in danger of losing perspective of stuff that's normal and almost everyday":pac:

    3 hours a day, bill for 36;):pac:

Worse, she had to hold her mouth closed while someone washed her hair. I can't imagine the horror she must have suffered :P

Even though it's the Sindo which I detest, that article is actually very funny.
