This might be a device specific question but how does one generally enable usb storage mode in ICS?
Is there any alternative way to copy files from a linux pc to a tablet without removing the sd card?
The tablet is an acer a510

on my htc sensation running ics i do this

menu -> settings -> (personal) connect to pc -> default connection type
change the default connection type or tick the "ask me" box and it will ask you each time

Hey, if I wanted an easy, foolproof workaround I'd just keep using my SD card reader! :D
I think I might have found a workaround by hacking a few config files on the linux box. I'll check after restarting if it worked.

Wireless transfers were extremely slow on the last tablet I had - 25k/sec on average.
    Maybe that has improved.

This has a file size limit of 4MB which is useless to me.

I got it to mount as a USB mass storage device with a linux hack although now I think it might be cool to have an option to copy from the PC using the tablet. Is that a thing that people do?
