Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I would eat plenty of food in bed. I go to bed early enough and could get up twice to bring food back to bed.

I remember a friend telling me he keeps biscuits and chocolate beside the bed and wakes up in the middle of the night and eats some.

Is it the habit of a glutenous fatso or is it fairly normal?

That's disgraceful - what size are you? How the f*** you gonna burn those calories from biscuits when you're laying down on your arse in bed?

I'd feel terrible about myself...really shameful if I did something like that. (very srs)

Maybe I'm just a bit odd tonight, but this is the most romantic thing I've heard in ages. A wee midnight picnic all tucked up in bed? awwww :o

    Yes : )
    But how does s/he know!!!!

Sometimes I bring up hot toasted homemade in the shop brown bread & blackberry jam ; yum! Worth the crumbs.

I like occasionally a few After Eights when I head up " early"; Go down very easy : ) the crincilly papers on the carpet are very slippy in the morning thou ;0

No, only because if I did I'd have to change the sheets straight away cause I wouldn't be able to sleep on crumbs.

Sometimes. I don't bring snacks to my room in case I wake up during the night though. I can't sleep unless I have freshly brushed teeth so if I ate, I'd have to get up to brush 'em!

I knew of an elderly couple who would go to bed around nine o clock, they would bring a flask of tea and a few sandwiches for a late night snack.
Yes I eat a bowl of popcorn and pack of sweets watching a movie with a pair of 3D glasses on while lying naked in bed with my socks around my arms

    :pac::pac::pac::pac::pac::pac::pac::pac:
I wouldn't even have tea in bed, even if I was crippled from illness.
I have a thing about drinking my tea in the sun room reading the papers. Having it in bed would just ruin the whole thing.

    the what room?

Used to be irritated by crumbs in bed, but doesn't bother me so much now, sometimes just wanna be away from housemates, if they're annoying me, or watchin utter tripe on tv, so I hide out in my room :)

I really don't see the attraction of eating in bed.

Re the 'luxury' of breakfast in bed. Don't get it, never do it.

No interest in eating until I'm up, showered, teeth brushed and dressed. If I was brought breakfast in bed I'd send it back and do all that first. Then go and eat at a table.

Then I'm all on for a nice leisurely breakfast with juice, coffee, and eggs and all that craic. But never in bed.

Sun room. A room that's mainly made of glass that allows more sunlight in.

My dad has been bringing my mom breakfast in bed every single morning without fail for nearly 25 years :) Now, I think it's terribly romantic, but my brother thinks....

    This.

Maybe I'm in the minority, but is it not better to brush your teeth after eating?

Your breakfast must taste like toothpaste and mouthwash!

Ehhh, yeah, I wake up and brush my teeth, along with shower etc. Not brushing them after a sleep feels a little manky, no?

Then, and get this for a mad idea, I also brush them after breakfast. And after other meals too.

Good to see Catholicism dropping back a bit. Girl in the striped socks is obviously some form of druid who has a shrine to the sun in her house. Still far more normal than eating in bed.

How can you not want to brush your teeth first thing in the morning?!

Bed bugs are the only ones getting a meal in my bed.

Because first thing is breakfast. Second thing is to brush. Its pointless to brush before when you're going to eat right after and you're not going to enjoy breakfast as much. I like to taste my food. Before and after is a bit ocd.
