Brilliant!! It's about time they brought weather detail into the game, something people have been asking for for a long time!

I have nearly given up with what EA do, they don't fix the bugs, the obvious things that annoy me about the series (like the celeb issue) and just throw out new expansion and stuff packs and more interested in the store and getting as much money from the series as they can...

I have tried to use mods to help with the game but they grind my game to a halt so I ended up deleting them...:(

Yay finally another expansion worth getting, I have no interest in showtime or supernatural really, seasons was my second favourite expansion in the sims 2, only after apartment life.

While I agree with what you're saying about EA being money hungry (then again it is a business at the end of the day) I've always found that a bug may exist for a while but it will be fixed in the newest patch.

There was a while where every new expansion pack re-introduced the bad save error, then the next patch would sort it.

I'm also not really interested in Supernatural but this looks great! Can't wait :)

I wish they would sort out the celebrity issue, nearly every Sim ends up being a celebrity, gets annoying. :(

Ah I see what you mean now, yes that is highly irritating!

Is the celebrity issue to do with Showtime or Late Night?

Late Night. It truly sucks. I just want an off switch for it, does my head in.

The celebrity aspect of the game ruins the game, it gets frustrating to literally see nearly every Sim have celeb status (purely because they talked to a celeb or something!) :(

I grabbed the new patch there last week, the Attraction System is... interesting. ;)

I installed the patch but the game is very laggy now :( It seems to freeze for a couple of seconds every few minutes, highly annoying.

Hmm... that an issue on the previous patch that was fixed in this patch. What version are you on then?

I am on version 12.0.273.019017 and it has enabled memories again (even though it is disabled in the menus)

I skipped supernatural expansion pack as I don't like that style of game.

Edit: I fixed it now, disabled memory notifications, now working fine :-)

Have only touched upon it but seems pretty good so far. Sound effects are great, weather visuals are pretty good. The 'outwear' clothes seem very detailed compared to other expansions. My sim loves going out in the rain for some bizarre reason. The weather channel is pretty cool too.

Will throw out a proper opinion over the weekend.

It's out today isn't it? I'm going to go pick up a copy myself! :)

Yup! Grab a Limited Edition copy if you want the "Ice Lounge", though I haven't even looked at the bonus stuff yet myself.

I am very impressed with the gradual, smooth change in weather between the seasons, and my town looks amazing. A nice little feature I noticed was that during winter, you can hang festive lights outisde your house, and on closer inspection, the neighbours start to do it too. :D

I have a budget to buy one expansion pack, based on your opinions would you recommend Supernatural or Seasons?

I'm a huge Harry Potter and Twilight fan hence my interest in Supernatural, but I loved Seasons in the Sims 2, so looking for your thoughts on it?

Not a fan of Supernatural to be perfectly honest, but by the sounds of it it's right down your alley. My friend is a huge HP & TW fan also, she's prefers Supernatural over all the other expansions currently (she hasn't tried Seasons yet).

So yeah, you should go for Supernatural.

Personally speaking, for anyone who has not real interest towards any expansions, they should get them in this order:

    1. Pets
    2. Seasons
    3. World Adventures
    4. Late Night
    5. Supernatural
    6. Generations
    7. Ambitions
    8. Showtime

Showtime and Ambitions really does offer little in extra content and features imo. Generations does very little for the game. Supernatural builds the game up nicely, World Adventures has a heap of content and travelling is quite interesting. Late Night probably has the largest amount of content over any expansion and great value. Seasons so far has a bundle of content, lots of new features and the weather system is fantastic. Pets has... Pets!... And a bundle of other features.

I ended up getting Seasons, I really like it, have only played Summer so far.

Has anyone found since the latest patch that the game keep freezing? It's not draining my CPU at all, just randomly freezes in-game and when I hit CTRL-ALT-DEL it says "not responding"... can't get more than 15 minuts gameplay, nightmare!

Only played summer so far, which is kinda boring because it's just like a normal day in the Sims. It's meant to rain tomorrow in the game and I'm sadly excited :pac: I could've launched straight into Autumn or Winter but I wanted to move my family into a better house and let the younger babies grow up so they can enjoy the snow as children.
