Looking good is very subjective. What do you think of the Corsair 600T? What about the 400R? Do you want something more 'boy racer'?

    Item|Price
    8GB-Kit G.Skill PC3-10667U CL9|€37.24
    Samsung SSD 830 128GB SATA 6GB's Paper Box|€102.51
Corsair Carbide Series 400R, ATX, ohne Netzteil|€84.36
    Sony Optiarc AD-5280S-0B schwarz|€18.15
    Intel Core i5-3450 Box, LGA1155|€183.20
    Super-Flower Amazon 80Plus 450W|€42.18
    Club 3D Radeon HD 7850 Coolstream Edition, 2GB GDDR5|€222.80
    Seagate Barracuda Spinpoint HD103SJ 1TB SATA II|€74.90
    ASRock B75 Pro3, Sockel 1155, ATX|€72.07
    ASUS VE228T|€95.87
    Shipping|€18.99
    Total|€952.27

I created a rod for my own back when I showed you that case :D - this is going to come in slightly over budget but you could scale down the case to fix that. Add €55 for windows from software4students.ie plus a score for a KB and mouse from somewhere. Sorry forgot the wireless card + another €20

At the €1000 price point there are the inevitable 'a few quid gets you more' so bear in mind €25 will get you a 2TB HDD over the 1GB listed.

This has the latest gen Ivybridge processor. When ocing there is a debate whether its worth the extra money. In non-oc builds its well worth it imo.

The monitor is a 22" Acer - this is one area where I think you should think carefully. My last monitor (putting my brief foray into eyefinity aside) was with me for over seven years. I think its seen about 4 processor and GPU changes. I would think about what size, type (glossy/matte) etc you want and actually work the rest of the budget out around that. 27" is best for gaming ref immersion and all that 24" is the step down and much more budget friendly (in terms of monitor and graphics card (GPU)). 22" is the min I'd go for these days.

Let me know what you think!

Cant really discuss it here but look at software4students.ie and see if you qualify (do you know a student?) and then technically its an upgrade pack so needs to be installed in place of an existing OS. It would be against boards.ie policies to discuss how you can use an upgrade as a custom/clean install or even google it and provide a link to one of the many tutorials. Sorry.

EDIT if you can wait a week or so do - the nVidia 660ti thats coming out could be a game changer in recommended GPU specs

Are you sure that PSU will run that GPU because on HWVS it says that GPU needs a 700W PSU

Yeah it'd run it no problem. You'd have room left over to overclock the GPU a bit as well.
