What are people views on Bauge interviewing Kenny in the presser post his loss to Kenny. Seemed surreal.

Also the a French coach has questioned the wheelset used by GB - apparently GB cover the wheels immediately after each race. French claim if the wheels are genuinely commercially available then there should be no reason to do that.

Sour grapes or are the a French trying to allege cheating?

Martyn Irvine's coaches wife as well. Awesome rider and based on past performances I would have throught she would have been unbeatable in the omnium.
The Brits seem to have an almost never end stream of talent coming through though.
Would have loved to see Sarah Hammer win as well.

Chris Boardman had the "magic wheels" accusation put to him last night on BBC and he said they had the same wheels since 2004! Given the pace at which cycling techology evolves, it seems a little strange, but I doubt very much if Mavic are providing anything to the GB team that would not be available to the French.

Morana say peoples from poor countries cannot afford golden medals in cycling.

Vino from Kazakhstan prove him wrong with VICTORY in Olympic road race.

Vino easily afford that gold medal, ha ha!

I hope Kenny laughed in the face of this hypocrite and reminded him of his suspension for missing drugs tests. Of all the people to accuse British Cycling of being "shady", it was Bauge? Its so ironic that it goes so far beyond insulting that it is just utterly hilarious.

Reading L'equipe (which is one of a number of French language publications I read in order to maintain by French reading) makes for quite painful reading at the moment. My word, I don't think the concept of being gracious in defeat has reached France yet.

    Hi elduggo, a recent example:

    http://www.irishtimes.com/sports/other/2012/0806/1224321625315.html

    http://www.irishtimes.com/sports/other/2012/0807/1224321686409.html

On Tuesday the 7th following British success in the velodrome and in the showjumping among other events the day before, these two stories were the most prominent on the Irish times sports section with regards to the successes and failures of the British Olympic team. I find it odd that these two stories were chosen. Considering they clearly feel the need to report on the British successes and failures in these Games, I think it odd to clearly focus on stories that portray the British attempts in these games in a less successful light when golds are being won at an unprecedented rate.

I don't particularly dislike the publication as a whole, but this is something I have picked up on in the sport section previous to the Olympic games also. Am I not allowed an opinion on something you clearly view as something of a pillar of Irish society if it isn't 100% positive?

    :)

Why does it rile you up that the British people of Ireland are enjoying the successes of its sportsmen and women these games. Hell, the entire population of the republic seems to be falling over themselves at the thought of a single possible gold whenever Katie Taylor boxes. Do you post photographs of tricolour clad people in all of those threads? Get over your insecurities - not everybody on the island of Ireland supports those wearing the green, white and orange at the games.

I posted a picture of someone wearing a bunch of union flags. I thought you'd appreciate it since almost every post you make on boards is some sort of exercise in British flag-waving.

Well, when I checked it showed Iran, Islamic republic thereof, in 14th!

Edit: I see your level of partisanship has reduced you to county medal counting!

track bikes have much less components than road bikes but still have to remain below 6.8kg, the mavic I/O wheelset seems to have the same design for a while now, I dont think its a good idea to make the front wheel any lighter as the steering would be effected, its pretty light as it is, team GB designed their track forks around the mavic 5 spoke wheel.
they made the frame extremely stiff too

    Anyway, back on topic...

it's down to the pillows amongst other things
there are other things that might seem on the periphery, like sleeping in the right position, having the same pillow when you are away and training in different places

Pay attention guys, next time you miss that A4 point by a tyre's width think what may have been if you'd cleaned between your fingers properly...

team sky did that in the tour de france last year. They had their own beds brought to whatever hotel they were staying in each night.

for whatever good it did them. I didn't hear if they did the same this year or not.
