Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The great journalist Con Houlihan sadly passed away this morning aged 86.

"RIP Con Houlihan. You great big GIANT of a legend. Without doubt the man who inspired teenage Dessie to want to be a sports journalist."

He worked with my dad in the press and wrote a wonderful obituary when he died. I'm sorry Con I don't have your great skill with words to write one for you, but I will say that Ireland has lost a great man, a true legend.

    RIP

Didn't read his journalism but anything I saw of him on TV documentaries showed him to be a thinker and a thoughtful journalist. A loss indeed.
