    Who else feels like enough time has passed since the last beers and perhaps we should have another one before the end of the summer?

    Because it's nearly the end of July and technically summer ends next week (August is autumn).

    It usually takes a few weeks to organise these things too, so I'd imagine we'd be lucky to have in before the 3rd week of aug.


    Also, it will, as always, be voted that we should go to O'Connells because loads of people who won't even come anyway will want to go there.

    Yep I always end up being busy when they're on. Funny, I was just saying to the one of owners of the Cottage/Salthouse etc at the weekend that his places are always suggested for Boards Beers, he was intrigued and appreciative :D

    Yeah, I think salthouse, we could book a table or two on a friday or saturday.

    Other option could be the oslo, if we book a table and call it a "party" we'd get free finger food :D

    Oslo is definitely an idea. The biggest problem with the Salt House (as much as I love it) is the noise. It's hard to talk to people you know in there, never mind people you've never met. That's why the O'Connell's beer garden works so well. It's never that noisy, so you can actually chat with people. We spoke about this at the last 'Beers in O'Connell's.

    We had no bother hearing each other last time we were in Salthouse at Christmas.

    Right Biko, can you go ahead and add a poll with dates? maybe put up a weekend (like 10th/11th, 17th/18th, 24th/25th) and then when we pick a weekend we can change the poll to friday/saturday.

    Seems like the majority of people who will actually show up would prefer Salt House or Oslo, so we can leave that to last to decide.
