Whats the point of a forum if we cant make threads, theres no point. If we are to contain everything to 1 thread this shouldnt have left the soccer forum, look at the fiso website.A thread like this is legite

As a few of us have asked a thread for each position would be sufficent.

Well if you follow on from the logic of a thread for 4.0-4.5 goalkeepers and defenders then it follows that you can have one for 5.0-5.5, 6.0-6.5, and 7.0+, and then even more for Midfielders and Forwards. Ridiculous tbh.

The cheap defenders at 4.5 I would look out for are Fabio, Jenkinson (replacement until Sagna returns), Clark (with Dunne out for 8 weeks he is a bargain) and Clyne might be worth a punt as well.

As for Goalkeepers I have Begovic as my cheap 4.5 and I'm aware he is a risk for rotation but Stoke keep more clean sheets under him.

Nobody is trying to stop you from making threads. And more importantly, nobody mentioned containing everything in one thread.

The point is that we've had this cheap defender talk already elsewhere in many other locations, and as has already been said, allowing this thread means we'd have to also allow a 5m defender thread, a 6m defender thread, and a 7m defender thread. Then add the same structure for the three other positions and we've got chaos.

Things are getting way too messy, but that's not saying we shouldn't have a number of threads.

In fairness every forum is the same. The same questions come up again and again. If you go along the lines of closing threads like this you run the risk of people becoming disillusioned with the forum and not bothering to use it.

Sure, there are a few people here who use the forum a lot and it gets a bit annoying seeing variations of the same question.

If people begin to feel that they get ridiculed for opening a thread then you're going to be left with the same 5 - 10 posters in here.

Back OT, there are no starting 4.0m keepers. Of the 4.5m keepers available, Federici, Jussi, Begovic, Davis, Green and Ruddy should all be starters.

4.0m defenders is still a bit of a mystery. Norwich will definitely have one or two, I've heard Tierney's name mentioned as a potential one. Clyne for Southampton has started a lot of pre season at right midfield so he'd be an excellent choice but stay away from them until GW6 or so. West Ham seem to be a popular choice based on their fixtures although there's a bit of debate between Demel, McCartney and O'Brien. Gorkss at Reading should start.

4.5m has plenty of good choices imo. Loads of options from QPR, Reading, Southampton, West Ham, Wigan, Norwich, Stoke. More interesting options imo are Cuellar, A.Hughes and Clark. Sunderland and Fulham should keep plenty of clean sheets at home and Clark's fixtures are tasty at the start and he offers a goal threat going forward.

One bit of advice I'll offer is to stay away from Jenkinson at Arsenal. Sagna is supposedly very close to a return to the side and you'll no doubt have more important transfers to make in GW2/3. This is especially important to anyone who is planning on doing the Torres to Rooney transfer for GW2. It's suicide going into the season with 2 transfers already planned.

Does it matter that there are threads created on the same topic? It clearly states its intention in the title. If he doesn't make this thread a more interesting thread isn't going to suddenly pop up.You see the title.Don't click.
