    i recently bought some mil surp, german made MEN 7.62 ammo.
    does any one out there know the B.C of this round or maybe some one has put a few through a chrony and recorded their speed.i have fired a few and they are very accurate for price. Trying to put drop chart together .

    Over here we like them a lot! They seem to suit many of the older slower twist rifles in 7.62x51 NATO - not surprising as they are a somewhat lighter bullet than most of us regularly shoot in our AI's, TRGs, Alpines, Keppelers, DTA's and so on. My old Krico 650SS just loves 'em, even out to the trans-sonic zone at ~900m.

    Some folks, it seems, have had issues with hard extraction, but I haven't had any problems shooting it over the last few years out to 900m. On our first Bisley w/e this year we ALL shot it in a variety of guns, as noted above, with excellent results.

    Just checked my notes and ...

    147gr @ 2700fps BC=0.418

    It uses 44.7gr of a very fine powder what powder I don't know:confused:

    I remember it took a lot to find this data... enjoy
