Well they obviously have different wheels :pac:

You have to remember the pound vs. euro is crap at the moment!

Also, you'd probably be screwed on VRT for all those pretty extras.

Most of that stuff is standard equipment on the Accord Exec but the exchange rate is crap resale values of clean used cars in the UK are actually holding steady these days.

Lad in work has an ES GT Accord that he brought over in 2010. The amount of toys on it is amazing, heated/vented leather, satnav, parking sensors, auto electric everything. Never had a minutes trouble with it bar 2 cracked foglights. Reckons 900km is a regular occurrence from a tank of diesel.

I've a 2009 Mondeo Econetic. Great spec but no alloys. I do a lot of motorways at 130kmh....ish and I've yet to see less than 900km to a tank. Most I've seen is nearly 1200km before I lost my nerve and stopped for diesel. Only issue I have is a 5 speed gearbox but they are available with 6.

I've got one too - calculated the mpg by filling/zeroing mileage/recording volume on refill vs miles travelled - 46mpg. It's fine but it aint frugal either.

08 new model. Probably could squeeze another couple of mpg alright if I tried to.

I had the i-CDTi before this one and the current model is leagues ahead of that. Far superior car in pretty much every single way but it is a little bit more thirsty alright - same journey 80mile daily round trip - returned 50mpg.

I'd have THIS myself if I could :D

About 2k vrt so €14.5k ish all in.

2.0 supposed to be far superior to 1.9 and 2.4 diesel engines.

    And it's beautiful :o

Was up in Galway at the weekend so decided to test drive this Accord.

Loved the drive, very smooth and has all the extras. Have booked a holiday away in Novemebr so might hold off until after that. Prices on Accords might go down a small bit! :)

    I'll keep looking.

P.S. I'm liking the Mondeo Titanium X Sport aswell!!
