Well you get sick of seeing TV programmes, newspapers, and magazines, ALL focusing on women fashion and how to improve their look. Well they do say it takes 7 seconds to make an impression and a lifetime to change it.

Sooo working off a budget what would YOU recommend MEN should do with the view of enhancing their looks.

In my opinion:

Tidy hair, tidy eyebrows (I don't mean perfectly sculpted, but no unibrows!!), clean nails, clean hair. Hairstyle not to be scruffy, not meaning no long hair, just not untidy looking.

Clothes wise - good fitting jeans, straight-leg, not trailing on the ground, clean obviously! Same with chinos or formal trousers, check the length is ok.

If wearing a shirt, it should fit properly, not too big on shoulders or sleeves, and be pressed.

Runners shouldn't be scruffy, but need not be immaculate either. Proper running shoes (Asics etc) for exercise/with tracksuits only, a pair of casual Vans, Adidas Samba or something are perfect for everyday with jeans. If you don't want runners then boots are nice, or leather lace up casual Ecco shoes.

Have a few plain or printed t-shirts, easy to wear. No to lame slogans like "If found return to pub".

For outerwear, a plain zip hoody is nice over tees for the day time. Army/khaki shirt jackets look really good with jeans. Personally am not a fan of black blazers with jeans.

Try getting some men's fashion magazines or use their websites, like GQ, Details, Vogue Homme, and Sunday Times Style usually has some men's pages. The clothes in them can be expensive and out there but can be good inspiration.
