A staple lunch during the boom times when plain bread just wasn't fancy enough. The other day i made myself an egg salad and ham roll. Absolutely beautiful and i could have made 4 rolls for the same price as a shop made one but that's another thread. As i was eating it i realized that egg salad and ham is the nicest roll.

So after hours folk. What is your favourite roll?

Is it those hard rolls your on about? The ones that cut the mouth off you? No thanks.
White bread sambo all the way - chicken tikka/mayo/cheese/coleslaw with a bag of Tayto salt & vineger crushed in!!

Why is it so hard to get a decent brekkie roll/sambo anymore. Spar & Centre should be closed down due to the state of what they offer up.

I do my own home rolls. A freshly baked Superquinn floury bap. A couple of streaky rashers, a few slices of vine ripened tomatoes, little bit of lettuce. Sauce, brown or tomato ketchup which ever you like best. My idea of roll heaven.

I've recently started eating a roll with ham, cheese and scrambled egg for breakfast. Really nice! Put the cheese next to the egg in the roll so it melts a bit.

Hot spicey chicken fillet roll with butter, taco sauce, lettuce, tomato, onion and cheese

Subway:

Foot long steak and cheese (peppered cheese) on Italian herb and cheese topped with lettuce, tomato, onion, peppers, jalapeno, gherkin and hot chilli sauce.

Today:

This is fcuked up but since last night I have the horn for a regular white bread ham salad sandwich! :eek:
