father got a sensor light yesterday...simple enough job for €30...

i fit the thing for him then got a notion...

is there anyway to fix a second light to the same PiR which is attached to the light just fitted?

It is possible on some fittings to loop a second fitting .
    However there are some considerations.
Will the back box on the fitting take another cable/compression gland?
Is the PIR on that fitting capable of switching twice the load?

However in an ideal world, the PIR is rated high enough (or you use two smaller wattage lamps) and you can use another compression gland to get out of the box,
you should see four connections in the connection box, some of these cables will go to the PIR and the other will go to the lamp, the earth cables are just all joined together.
you will need to loop off the earth connection and the cable connections that go to the lamp.

take a pic of the connection box opened and we can tell you more.

Many of these fittings are poor quality and your best option is to buy a standalone sensor and loop two non pir fittings directly off it.
