Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    heya,

i have black eyebrows and i always wanted to dye them brown. i saw this product in boots.. its like a brown eyebrow dye. i know people use it that have really light eyebrows, so i was just wondering if it would lighten my black eyebrow colour or would it not? :)

No a brown tint wouldn't lighten them unless you bleached them first then tinted then lightly with brown! I'd be weary of bleaching them myself though best bet would be to call a salon!

I have jet black eyebrows and asked a beauty therapist what to do with them (as in, dying them etc. to get them lighter) and she said there is no point in even trying to dye them because it won't show up and bleaching then dying apparently looks a bit odd (as in, it's very obvious you have don't something to your eyebrows). I, personally, would leave them how they are but if you really want to get them a lighter colour, defo go to a salon - it'll be way to obvious if you mess around with them at home!

I had this problem myself and I rang 4 or 5 salons in my area to see what they could do with them and they all said they wouldn't bleach them.
So I went and got the Jolen facial bleach in the chemist and used that (there's actually instructions on lightening your eyebrows inside the packet) they went a really light brown/dark blonde and then I just put a tint on over them and they where perfect.
I have naturally brown hair but i've got it dyed blonde so my eyebrows looked alot better and more natural after I did them.
    Hope this helps x

You could just put Jolene bleach on them and leave it for only a minute or two.
I used to bleach mine from black to light brown/blonde and it only took about 10 mins.
