looking for an engine for a camper.
    '95 2.5td Peugeot Boxer engine.

as i understand it, this engine runs from approx 93 to 01 or 02 and is also found in the citreon relay.

now obviously a newer one would be desired if possible.

does anyone know if the iveco engine would be the same aswell?

the turbo failed and starved the engine of oil and we've been told it isnt worth refurbing. i'm not sure if the mechanic even opened it up for a proper look mind you before saying that.

have tried a few places but as yet havent found one.

Peugeot used their own 2.5. Try bridgevan they might have on on the shelf or traynors in the north or dempseys:

Because of epa pressure scrap yards have had to drastically reduce stock and aren't really keeping the old stuff any more if you're having trouble it may be easier to buy a complete donor vehicle.

It might work out cheaper as breakers will charge you for engine and turbo seperately and steel prices mean that you'd get about 200 for the donor van once you've removed the engine.

Other possibilities for an engine I know have some variety of ducato/boxer/relay vans at the moment:

You might get a 2.8 easier, as they're newer, and are almost the exact same. They replaced the 2.5 about 1998. In about 2001 then they started using common rail, no good to you .
