I think Shelvey will just take time to adjust to playing as a CM the way the position should be played. Showing lots of discipline that I've never seen from him before. I noticed he even dropped into the right back role to cover for Johnson on an occasion when he went flying forward and got caught with the ball. He may have been a little sloppy at times but I would say he has a million instructions flying through his head

Although I agree with the discipline thing, in that he never really showed it when played at CM before, didn't Kenny bring him on as a left back either last year or the year before?
He did quite well in what was a 15 min or so cameo as far as I can remember.

I do think he has a lot of talent and certainly, with the right coaching, could be a great player for us in the future.

Didn't do that enough last season.

First 11 is strong, just need to improve our strength in depth. Because the reality is, we are in trouble if Gerrard, Lucas or Suarez gets injured.

Luis suarez in that form could nutmeg a mermaid !!! I have to say the way we are playing is very refreshing granted it is gomel but rome wasn't built in a day . We look at least 20 times sharper then last thursday . I hope Luis gets a goal tonight because he deserves one .
