I lived in Limerick for a year and i went to Christine Wallace in the Crescent Dental Clinic. Found her to be a really talented dentist. Unfortunately I needed a good bit of word done and found her really friendly and most importantly, gentle (I'm not a needle fan!).

One time, had to try get in for an emergency appointment (cracked a tooth) and she squeezed me in straight away - no hassle! The surgery is spotless as well - would highly recommend

Just to give a well deserved mention for Aidan Higgins, he's on O'Connell Avenue, a block or two up from Bobby Byrnes shop!!
I hated the dentist for years but really have no problems going to him!!

Sound fella alright, I hadn't been in 15 years until two years ago and he was A1, not judgemental at all.

I've heard good thing about Paul O'connell in old quarter. Also from personal experience jerome Mullane in Newcastle west is excellent. My wisdom teeth removal was the most pleasant dental experience I've ever had.
Mullane in NCW's a great dentistry, I'd recommend it to anyone in the area.

Hey OP not sure if you have made a decession yet but I have 2 suggestions. The first was my old dentist (old as his practice moved upstairs and I am in a wheelchair) in Charlotte Quay Bridge House Dr. Joe Callinan he was very nice and the 2nd is my current which is the dentis in the Cornmarket
-shudder- I dont even want to recall the experience. Let us just say not enough anesthetic-drill against raw nerve-drill nearly removing half gum-dentist blaming patient for moving

Dennis Kerrisk is so nice,he was my dentist but then i was always waiting 2-3 weeks for an appointment as he's so busy. It's a good sign yes but not great if you need a dentist urgently.

    Couldn't agree more,an absolute gent.

I was always nervous of dentists,
so much so I hadn't been for years:(
A chronic toothache one saturday morning,
had me ringing every dentist in the phonebook to no avail,
    untill I tried Dennis.
Fixed me up in no time, and I've been a loyal regular ever since:)

Sorry that happened to you it has happened to me before and it hurts as hell. Actually my old dentist in Ennis fixed it right up he was brilliant. I have been going to her for a couple of years and no problem. The 1st time I went to her I had a very bad pain in my teeth due to wisdom teeth crushing she saw me quick and did not charge me and got me seen quick in Barringtons to get them out.

I know this is a bit of a bump, but I've been searching boards for dentist recommendations and this thread came up... and really feel like I've got to throw my 2 cents in here for the benefit of others that may come across this thread.

    >Snip due to content<

    Seriously avoid this dentist.

Gonna throw my 2 cents in too..

Have to recommend Rob Wallace in Dooradoyle! Had a ten year gap of fear between dentists before I went to him.. Have had loads of check ups since, an extraction, an accident & a root canal and am totally cured of the fear now:D

Now, just to get over the fear of the gynae:eek:

have a serious fear of dentists...but Deirdre Toomey gets my vote. A true lady and an excellent dentist who makes you feel very comfortable with stuff you really don't feel comfortable with. For anyone with a phobia like myself, would recommend.

Would recommend Deirdre Toomey also. Have been twice and have zero complaints!
