It's decent alright, not brilliant but a hell of a lot better then the one on the ps3.

Pinning is a completely wasted opportunity imo. There are so many useless tiles under every category which could be used to plant your favourites but I guess advertisements will always take priority unfortunately.

Yeah I agree with that, not a fan of how they did that either, at least youpr0n works perfectly on Xbox 360.....

Im sure they may ban the site from Xbox though eventually....

    I doubt it.

I think pinning is fine. You can essentially create a home page. If you use it right, you'll rarely have to go anywhere other than to your pins section.

Is the rollout going by model number or region or something?

Still no sign of it for me?

    Just got it!

Sending this from the Internet Explorer app which is pretty slick I have to say.

A chatpad is essential now with this.

well until the smart glass app is out anyway.

You don't have to wait long, Smartglass launches later this week to coincide with the launch of Windows 8.

If you have the new dash:

    1. Go to search.
    2. Type in random song name.
    3. When song appears select it.
    4. Welcome to Xbox Music, your welcome :)

cheers 100 euro per year is a bit steep

    It depends,

I work with a PC 8 hours a day with headphones on, for €100 a year I have access to a virtually limitless library on my phone, xbox and PC. Thats a pretty good deal in my position

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,184 ✭✭✭Patsy fyre

    Yeah I suppose.
Depends on the situation. I have all my music on my phone.
Love the way you can sample entire albums....

Will it be worth 100 more then wat you are paying for vevo now on Xbox

Whats the story with Smartglass and ios/iphones, will they be compatiable?

Im liking it so far, especially since my laptop broke!

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,085 ✭✭✭BeanFlicker

According to these it will be released for Windows Phone 8 devices on October 29th, but won't be available for iOS- and Android-powered devices until early 2013, though. Hopefully it's wrong

I use Google Music for this kind of stuff, and its free, fair enough its a pain having to upload what I need to listen to, but at least its all there in the cloud....

Xbox music will introduce the same thing with the launch of windows 8. You'll be able to store your music all in the cloud.

I can't wait for it though. Xbox Music pass especially.

I have messed around with it yet, but with the pass, you can download all the songs you want for offline use and save 10 tracks per month.

That's awesome I think. Considering most standalone tracks are 1 euro each on iTunes. I could have 10 tracks plus all the music I want.

Just an update, I seem to be able to download songs to my HDD from xbox music on the pc (win8) with the free trial, they are WMA and I presume they are locked, I will put them on my phone and see if they play later and report back.

Childish for having my own opinion of his post? It came across like an absolutely spammy post about a service that no one knows about really. Is the catalogue there? Are other services like Deezer not cheaper, and not tied down to a single platform (for now)?

The collection is 30 million, the largest offered of anyone including itunes.
It works on 3 platforms (phone, xbox, pc).
It will be coming to other platforms before year end 2013.
The price is extremely competitive given the collection.
It has a play offline feature which means you do not have to be connected.
    Optional song purchases

In short, his post was not spammy, because *you* have not heard of the service does not mean others have (it is being raved about on twitter) go search #xboxmusic.

To Date there is NO other service of its magnatude available to Ireland as is without dodgy hacks or work arounds.
