Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What was the song she was singing (Emile Sande)?

I believe Timothy Spall has played Churchill on stage recently - so he didn't need much practice.

Yes, but "of Wales" is wrong. His brother is Prince of Wales.

That's his name. In the words of Michael Caine, not a lot of people know that!

I'm really not getting this... it's just more of the same retro celebrity orientated navel gazing that we saw in the opening ceremony.

With this closing ceremony being meh so far, I dread to think what the opening ceremony would have been like without Danny Boyle at the helm.

French is the official language of the Olympics.

This is the embarrassing cringe-fest I had expected the opening ceremony to be.
It's like a Paddy's Day parade that got stuck doing loops.

I thought both were always Prince of Wales. Although William has been Duke of somewhere since getting married.

The standard of singing has been terrible so far. Also, the choice of acts that have performed so far has been questionable.
