Want to do Fairy Castle Loop walk, have to get there by bus

    Hey guys!

I've been exploring the area near Dublin these last months and I've done a couple of fun walks: Howth, Bray-Greystones, Sugarloaf etc. Now I want to walk to Fairy Castle Loop at Tiknock. Trouble is I don't have a car to get there, so I'd need to take the bus.

This website told me I would be best off using the 44B: http://www.dublinmountains.ie/index.php?id=135

This seems to be the exact trail I'm looking for: http://www.coillteoutdoors.ie/index.php?id=54&trail=272&no_cache=1

Daytripper suggest I "inform the driver of my destination" and he'll drop me off near enough: http://daytripperdublin.com/2012/03/ticknock-three-rock-mountain/

Now having looked at the map for 44b, it doesn't seem to get closer to Tiknock than Blackglen Road--it looks like it's still a not too easy walk from there to the trail proper.

I was wondering if this didn't make more sense: http://hittheroad.ie/#from=53.345088,-6.254927&to=53.246958,-6.219281

This would have me take the 44 to Enniskerry Rd and it looks like from there I can walk over to Ballyedmonduff Road and get on the trail from there.

Does that look like a good option?

Are there any other ways to do this without renting a car for a day trip?

    Thanks!
