You simply cannot compare Eddie Rockets to Bunsen.

Save up your pennies and rob a granny if you need to, but spend the extra fiver to go to bunsen ffs!

They're actually fairly similar pricewise. Not so much quality wise. :pac:

Had a double cheese last night in the Temple Bar one; no difference between the branches. Still amazing. :)

I don't think Bunsen is that much if any dearer realistically...

That said, I was surprised by just how rare a medium-rare in Bunsen was - will have to ask for it to be near nuked from orbit next time!

Had my first bunsen experience two weeks ago.

It was good, a little better than the Eddies Classic (although I like the sauce in that burger).

Maybe, I would notice a larger difference if I tried a medium rare burger.

I got the cheeseburger in Luna under Super Miss Sue on Drury street.
Best burger I've had in ages. Not cheap though.

    http://www.supermisssue.com/luna-temporary-steakhouse.html

18 quid for a burger made from steak trimmings, chips included, but still

This place. They dont have a website so link to their facebook.
In Coolmine Ind Estate, and its more takeaway but look at the picture. Biggest I've ever had. and gorgeous too (obviously that's only 1/2 of it)

I sometimes wonder if the two Eddies I go to are somehow misrepresenting the quality of the franchise as a whole!

I tried the new 'Rockets' down by the IFSC but didn't go for a burger. I just couldn't do it. Chips were nice, though.

had a few cheeseburgers at the new 'rockets' down by the ifsc and sort of liked them initially…good fries and all in all a nice addition to the area…
also had a cheeseburger at pitt bros recently and thought it was okay, yet i think i liked the bunsen one better…between bunsen, the meat wagon and pitt bros i would so far probably go for the bunsen burger as the best with the meat wagon one a close second…
so far, all in all, i still think the counter makes the best burgers in town…going to try bobo's, super miss sue and the bison bar next…

Its a pity all you knowledgeable Burger posters, didn't give the address / location of these Burger-Eateries. It would be v.helpful.

If only there was some sort of search engine website where you could look them up yourself

I had bunsen a few weeks after they opened.

I havent been back, the burger was nothing to write home about, they patty did not stay together in fact it fell apart. And i ended up eating the rest with my hands in bits.

I honestly dont get the love from what i experienced there ???

I actually love the way the meat falls apart, especially if it's cooked medium.
It's so damn juicy and tender, there's no way it's going to stay together.

If anything, the meat used is probably too good :P

The Beast of The Outback from Aussie Outback in Kimmage (there's one in Tallaght, too).

I had one the other week and it was the only time I was ever compelled to post a pic of my food to Facebook. That's a practice I normally don't care for but THE WORLD NEEDED TO KNOW.

had a burger at the black sheep (capel street) recently and quite liked it...a tad much of the green stuff maybe, but all in all a nice and juicy burger...

I'm sure it's been mentioned but I'm not going back through the whole thread but The Counter on Suffolk Street is the best I've ever had... And I've had a lot.

Never heard of this place and it's just down the road from me :pac:

I must check it out. Is it take away only?

No, they have seating too. In fact they have some menu items that are seating only.

You'd have to ask them that.
