  • Registered Users Posts: 1,304 ✭✭✭George White

    The chips are 2.95 extra,

  • Registered Users Posts: 33,518 ✭✭✭✭dudara

Fries are €2.95, same price for regular fries or garlic butter fries

Just tried it; burger is excellent with no toppings .... looks like a new top 3 contender to me . Those garlic fries are a little overdone but excellent.

I was in Bunsen a few weeks back, it was okay but not great in my opinion, also their chips were below average.

Could anyone else who did not like it particularly recommend a better place for burgers please?

There's 22 pages of thread above you!

    Try Wowburger as mentioned above.

Try Jo'Burger for a very different type of burger

Try Ugly Duckling in the Epicurean for a man's burger.

I didn't like Bunsen or Ugly Duckling very much. Best one I've had recently was in Oscar's Christchurch.

as a matter of fact, I did read over 10 pages before posting, thing is I'd like to have the opinion of someone who's not into Bunsen's burgers.
I read some comments on Wowburger which said it's just average, while others say it's very good.

Definitely I won't be able to try them all! thanks for your advice anyway.

I don't think there is such a thing as a good burger in Dublin. Lots of really bad (bobo's, eddie rockets, counter) and the only one i've tried that's just about average is bunsen. And that's purely because they will cook them how you want them.
Going to try wowburger this week, fingers crossed.
Anyone else see the branding similarities to whataburger?

rick’s? that the place at the corner of dame/george’s street by the mercantile? had a burger there a few years ago and thought they had the sawdust percentage in the patty just a tad too high…but that was years ago, could have changed for the better by now…

I thought Aussie BBQ was one of the worst burgers I´ve ever had. And the ribs were awful also....each to their own though I guess

Agreed, thought the food was horrific. It's aptly named as the food tends to be horrific in Australia as well.

Bit out of town, but I had a delicious burger in the Oarsman in Ringsend recently.
