Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Torres is very good at tripping over his own legs

Well you are bothered reading about it.....

Ramires back in Mikels position and then Oscar/Marin/Sturridge on right wing.

Dont like Ramires in that position unless hes doing a specific job like against Barca

I agree, ramires is totally wasted.
Luiz is not just not consistant enough. You want your forwards to be unpredictable not your defenders!
Why oh why do clubs play players so much out of their best position?
Why not just buy proper wingers?
Hazard wants to always cut in from the left

    sigh

    That's a neat finish

    And a red???

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,623 ✭✭✭double GG

Outrageous decisions. Not a red card tackle.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,949 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

Oo, was a dangerous tackle alright. Definite yellow anyway. Dunno about a red though

Brilliant finish from Torres. Any doubts I had over putting him in my Fantasy team are gone now.

    Never a red card.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,844 ✭✭✭✭Nalz

    hmmmm red? Maybe not tbh

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,304 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

Caught him, but not a red for me, yellow at the most.

If you are going to hand out red cards for that, you are going to ruin football.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

Actually it was never a free out to begin with. Christ.

Studs up, two footed and dangerous

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,273 ✭✭✭racso1975

Looks like that 8/1 durst score was good

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,269 ✭✭✭Tubbs4

The ref bottled it sending off man city player but chelsea straight off.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 731 ✭✭✭inmyday

    Definite red card.
Studs up, connected with the players shin.

    The ref had no choice.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,518 ✭✭✭matrim

Should have been a second yellow for city a minute ago.

Can see where the red came from. It was 2 footed but still a bit harsh

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,372 ✭✭✭✭Mr Alan

That's a red every day of the week in this pansy ass day & age

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,065 ✭✭✭MaxPower89

Deserved red there, no need to dive in with 2 feet.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,379 ✭✭✭hefferboi

Definite red after looking at the replay. 2 feet over the ball. Wreckless.

Great work from Ramires for the goal and Hazard will be class.

Very standard red, anyone arguing doesn't understand the rule.

    Deserved Red.

Don't put him into fantasy team they said.
He won't score goals they said.

Cant see many strikers I'd rather have in gw1 than señor Torres.

Studs high into the shin - deserved red imo.

    "Pansy ass"

It was two footed, over the ball, studs showing and connected square with his shin, he could have broken his leg, it was a shocking tackle, I hope he gets an extended ban!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,627 ✭✭✭Sgt Pepper 64

Well maybe we will stop messing around trying to save a million or 2 and sign a bloody rightback!

Hopefully anyway, Wigan away though was a horror show for us. Id take a Torres one niler right now at Wigan.

Lol at the username that thanked that post :D

Hmm, yeah that's a red. He might have got away with it if he left his left leg behind him.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 12,832 ✭✭✭✭Blatter

It's the right decision for that sort of challenge but the big problem is that refs just aren't consistent enough with them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,627 ✭✭✭Sgt Pepper 64

Thats the trouble with todays footballers - bunch of pansys.

In my day, Chopper Harris and breaks yer legs bremner made sure you knew were tackled

    Yellow card at best

The players all know the score, 2 footed lunge will most likely see a red, blame the player, not the ref.

Common sense would be for the Ivanovic not to do it. Hes so experienced, and knows the rules inside out.
Watch the tackle at half time, and we'll see how dangerous it is.

Doesnt matter if its a friendly or a champions league final, you cant do that.
