Were Swedish House Mafia not supposed to be breaking up/going on hiatus after the last tour?

Either way, I can't see MCD bringing them back for such a big gig after all the crap that happened at the last one. Could be wrong, but it seems way more trouble than it's worth for them, especially when they could easily book a "safer" act and make the same money out of it...

I initially thought Green Day, but I think they'd struggle to sell it out. They only pulled ~20,000 at Marlay and their new albums are looking a bit rubbish. The American Idiot musical still has tickets available too, and AI was waaay more popular than their recent stuff. I'd still go see them though :P

Definitely think the Rolling Stones will be one headliner anyway.

I'd say it's the Rolling Stones

Again? It would be unusual to have a headline act play again so soon. Not that I'd be complaining.

Maybe you're thinking of the stone roses, not the rolling stones :)

I'd like to see Bowie there, but not gonna happen.

My guess is U2 to coincide with their new album, which comes out in the summer.

Know someone who drinks with Gavin Friday's cousin's sister and she had no idea either, but that's my guess anyway - U2.

    Foo Fighters would be sweet.

Jon Bon Jovi is at the NFL in London tonight. Just a short hop over to Slane for the announcement on Tuesday...

Not that much of a hop for the Stones from Paris either though, is it?

    Which bit?

That I know someone, that knows someone's cousin's sister (which would also be in fact, also their cousin) or that they hadn't a clue or was it that I reckon U2 will play Slane? Or maybe you just meant I'm amazing. Shucks, if so, thanks :)

Slane and BJ announcement on the same day????

    That is just too coincidental.

Seems highly likely now it will be BJ, sure if they almost sold out two RDS dates they'd probably sell out Slane, add that to the people who go just because its Slane and they'll get 80k no bother.

is there gonna be a second date lads

  • Registered Users Posts: 231 ✭✭tedobrien98

There is, but it's probably gonna be someone newer. They'll hardly have the Stones AND Bon Jovi.

I wonder will they come to Ireland anyway, even if it's not to Slane?...

    Foo's are on hiatus

In fairness, their last hiatus (circa 2009) lasted all of ten minutes :pac:

(I don't think they'll be here within the year, mind, just can't see that hiatus lasting very long!)
