Hi guys I witnessed an orange glowing object flying over the Drumcondra area at approx 00:15 in the morning. Just wondering if anyone in the same area or living nearby areas saw the same thing or something similiar? I also posted on the UFO Research Association site with a detailed description of what I saw here's the link

Just trying to get to the bottom of it really so if anyone can shed some light please contact me, thanks!

The majority of people reckon it was a Chinese lantern.

    Hi Street,

to be honest when i first read it i thought of a chinese lantern as well. from far away they look weird and depending on the wind it could move vigorously.

    was it windy that night?

No not at all, it was raining though.. Thought that might have an adverse affect on a lantern.. weight it down/slow it down..

Could it have been a Persied meteor? Happens ever year in August as we pass through the cloud at the minute and there have been reports of fireballs and shooting stars.
