How much tax if buying a second home?

Hi..can somebody shed some light on how much tax we need to pay if we're buying outright a second house to rent, in dublin-15 area? probably a 3 bed semi det. at going price of 170,000 approx. Is the tax payable monthly or a percentage of the property price? Any information would be greatly appreciated!:)
