The Church has soft porn on the ceiling of the Cistine chapel and in many other places because many artists were reputedly homo and were fascinated by the male form .Art is a great umbrella term for all kinds of nonsense .

I haven't researched this particular scandal much, but has it occurred to anyone that some 'renegades' may be involved in order to inflict further damage on the Church?
There are quite a few troublesome individuals in Germany and Austria anxious to go their own way, often applauded by the ususal suspects.

Come off it would you! Renegades?
Dissident priests may well court controversy by marrying divorced people (shock horror) and all that - but by buying a publishing house that employs over 6000 people and turns over the guts of €2 billion per year? I think that may be a tad past their capabilities!!

Is erotic fiction any better than pornography, ultimately?

Hell yeah it is - the brain is the largest erogenous zone. Pics and vids may be nice, but to really get your rocks off you need some good readin' ironically.

Please sbsquarepants, It is clearly obvious that they thought a good investment would be to buy a publishing house. As There were 12 of them, and there was conscientious they didnt need to inform Rome of their little money maker. Sure what was the Turn over? €2bn? Who even believes they were aware of it? They just left it in Gods hand.

When they were made aware of it (by a leak or nosy Meedja) they made attempts to dispose of the offending but could not get a favourable return despite the a recession on a profitable company. Mean while the lithographs keep on rolling!

How could this possibly be worse? Please anybody dont answer this question as the Closet is already bursting at the seams and spilling out into Narnia!!
