Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I like beer. And talking. I like talking and beer. And football.

Market bar Dublin FTW. And then back to super-teddies house for cans and a sing-song.

Another vote here for the Market Bar. That's in George's Arcade, right? As long as no-one serves me Hoegarden, I'm all for it.
Nasty, manky piss of a beer.

Three questions: will there be womens that are going to be drunk?
Does everyone know who's who or is it "hi, I'm Joe, I'm an alcoholic that posts on Boards" or do we go by account names because I'm not in the mood to play Speedball
And will there a place to sleep nearby/will it be safe to pass out in the gutter?

The last one isn't really a necessity just a sort of... bonus.

Oh and we need a tattoo artist, we need the get tattoos on the arse.

I think people usually just wear username name tags and wait for others to approach them and then introduction themselves by their birth name before we found boards.
For example I'd be wearing a TeddyTedson name badge and El Weirdo might walk over to over me a drink or something and I'd just say "HI MY NAME IS TED WHAT'S YOUR NAME?".

All valid questions mainly the how will everyone know everyone question!!

Also if theres a big group of people travelling up why not book out a dorm in a hostel? much cheaper.

People who've been banned aren't allowed go in case they have the hump with the mod who banned them.

But how will you know? You have no idea what they look like so couldn't I just go as a "normal person" and then secretly have the motive of trying to bottle you with a plastic bottle?

when we book the venue we always ask for a room or area to be reserved. On the night a couple of the mods wait at the entrance to stop gatecrashers and people who were/are banned. We ask for peoples usernames as identification.

Is thing only for veteran members over a certain age and thousands upon thousands of posts or everyone registered ?

Do boards provide an hour or two of free drinks for occasions like this similar to the ESB and the likes do?
Or is that only for the private forums?

Usually once the mods know how many people are attending, they book a room and boardsies are asked to cover the cost of the room, usually a river or a tenner. Drinks are free then for the night but only spirits (no doubles), house wine and pints :)
