I would like to run with a group but I am a beginner. I am not interested in running competitively, just for fitness. Anybody know of any running groups that would suit?

I am also interested in running in the park, not sure if I'm ready for a club wouldnt want to be embarrassed. So if interested in casually running let me know.

Not sure if you're female and/or interested in paying, but my gf ran with this club, went from nothing to 5k in weeks and still running a few months later. She loved it. http://runwithtina.com/about/

Donore Harriers athletic club is just outside the Chapelizod gate, and as an ex-member I'd highly recommend them. They cater for everyone from complete beginners to national champions (in different groups!).

I'm not a distance runner but would recommend getting involved with a proper club rather than just a standalone training group. Much better support in a club structure, and there's no pressure to compete if you don't want to.

They have a Fit4Life group too, I know someone who runs with this group and loves it.

Are there any groups around which are not in the park?
