I cannot go slow, it just doesn't feel right.
No, it does not. I call it wasted opportunity.

Well it is forecast to shift south westerly later so you will probably get it in the face going home as well.
    :(

Nope. Just checked here and it's looking good for the journey home! :D

Yeah, drivers are still the winners, as they own the roads.

I cycled in as usual today. The morning was windy, but not too wet and it was really warm. The evening trip may be more challenging though...

You'll be the one laughing if there's flooding tonight. Cyclists and Peds will be the only ones getting home at a reasonable hour.

Yeah..., and the good thing about cycling is that you can predict your travel time in given conditions. If you are in a car, you may get stuck inside for a while.

I don't cycle when it's raining because I can't dry my hair in work and would look a mess all day - sad but true.

I hear ya! :p I cycle unless it's really, really bad. But I have a short commute so it's rare that I don't find a window of opportunity even if it's a wet day. I don't care about getting wet on the way home. On the way to work it's just not comfortable, even with a change of clothes. I don't care if it sounds shallow but hair and make-up are quite important :pac:

I made a note of all the times I took the car to work in the last year, and I still cycle 90% of the time. I hate having to drive!

I cycle everyday unless I have stuff after work that I can't cycle to. Weather doesn't stop me as public transport is often slower in bad weather. Generally cycle 95% of the time. Used to cycle to college too as there wasn't any other way and didn't have a car so got used to the rain then.

Hair wise I have a straightener at work and do my make-up at work. If it's raining heavily I just wear wet gear and bring my work clothes in my bag. I don't have a shower at work either :(

Always cycle in bad weather. The main advantage is that the worse the weather, the worse the traffic.

I cycle to work every day, I don't mind the rain much. Only the glases tend to fog up at lights in cold rainy weather. Cross winds are bit iffy on the road bike, bladed spokes don't mix well with them.

For snow and ice I have a mountainbike with soft compound knoblies. Does the job allright.

All weather commuter here, unless work requires a much bigger bag. Don't mind the rain or wind apart from my glasses getting too splotchy/fogged up. I've a good wax jacket that keeps me dry at the expense of looking like I'm on the en route to a pheasant shoot, and I'm lucky enough that there's great bike lanes on my routes to/from work.

All I need now is some wax trousers and a shotgun pannier.
