Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

having a dress copied

Hi, I have a dress I bought from asos revive about 18 months ago that I absolutely love. Unfortunately, the fabric is starting to show signs of wear and tear now. I checked ebay, and no one's selling one. Does anyone know if it is possible to have a local dressmaker or online dressmaker copy the dress exactly so that I'll have another when this one dies? If so, could you give me an idea of the cost involved?

I don't know the cost, as I never went through with it - but I brought a dress into my local alterations shop type place - and they said that they could copy it easily.

I reckon as long as the dress is simple, they should be able to copy it fairly easily.

Great! I figured they would be able to do it, but I wasn't sure about the exact legality of it.

    Thanks!

A good dressmaker should be able to do it for you, you may have to source fabric though. Consult a few to make sure you've got one capable of the job. My cousin had a hard time getting stuff to fit her properly (skinny but tall enough) so when she found a perfect fit dress she got it made in a few more colours!
