Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

A lot of opposition against the 'sure its grand' in Ireland, mostly from young urbanites working in IT wanting everything done following a procedure. I need a backup place in case Ireland becomes too much like the Netherlands as it has been doing for quite some time

You say this like it's a very bad thing. "Sure it's grand" is pretty much the reason the country is in a complete and utter jocker at the moment. "Sure it's grand" is the reason that hospital services are being retracted, carers for the vunerable are being cut, kids have to emmigrate etc. And the sure-its-granders can never see the connection between their attitude and state of the country, as if the country is in state it is because "sh1t happens".

I agree that we don't want to become a police state where everything is regulated to the nth degree, but by christ, we are the complete opposite to that at the moment. If you want a country with decent services, where the elderly and vunerable are looked after, where wrong-doers are held to account and where your kids don't have to emmigrate when they leave school, then changes have to be made. But if you don't want any of that - sure it's grand.

On the subject of the thread, New Zealand it has to be (but without the earthquakes and volcanoes please).
