All Ireland Football Final Photo Day

Just raising a flag here to see if anyone salutes.

The concept is that 'we' start taking photos on All-Ireland Football Final day.
And create a thread.

The cars/coaches leaving for the match.... the posters/good-luck messages.
The kids dressed up and face painted- and some grown ups too!
The stop for tea and sandwiches.
The local pub.
The local club.
The crowds around Croke Park.
The Celebrations.
The commiserations.
The craic
The welcome Home
The total Irishness.

Would anyone be interested

All photos would have to be posted on the thread within 48 hours/ thread is locked down.

I like the idea but the 48hour close isn't giving the film users much time to put the pics up.

Sounds like a good idea - even those not going to the match can take part. Local pub, local flags etc.

Maybe though you should put a limit on how many pics per post or how many per person - otherwise you might have single posts with dozens of shots and individuals posting every shot they took! Then the thread just gets boring.....

sorry - forgot about that!

What would be a reasonable time frame - till the following Sunday?

Would a max of say 3 to 4 photos per person be reasonable?

Any other ideas/suggestions anyone?

Sounds like a great plan, I will be pitchside if Dublin beat Mayo on Sep 2nd so would defo like to be involved! Agree that a limit of 5 pics per poster, otherwise it could get boring!

So just to firm up on some ideas.

--The thread ( not this one - but a new specific one) will open at 8am on Sunday 23rd September 2012 and will close( for additional posts) at midnight the following Saturday.

--Max of 5 photos per person.

--atmosphere photos especially welcome

Your timing's great keps. Regardless of allegiance there's always great fun to be had all over the city, it's Finals Day!

Deadline should be 3p.m on the following Saturday, it gives time to pop it in to be developed and scanned, picked up and worked on by the end of the week.

Just in the door, back from croker, have some good shots taken today, have one of mayo fans, along with Dublin minor corner forward Conor Mc Hugh, Whose father is a native of mayo!!!!
