Anyone know if you have to be over 18 for the gigs in Cork?

Yes definitely, its been sponsored by Guinness and Diageo. No harm in trying though but there will probably be IDs asked for.

If you want to get into it, you got to get out of it. (Hawkwind 1982)

    So For Cork we have

The old oak/reardons - Fat boy slim (tickets are being given out)

The Bailey - Tinie Tempah (they tweeted it)

Sober Lane - Ellie Goulding (Facebook gave it away)

Whelans is definitely Mumford and Sons, Grand Social is Primal Scream and 4 Dame Lane is Example. Fatboy Slim is playing in the Old Oak in Cork. This is 100% true.

So will there be tickets needed to see Mumford and Sons?

The artists can play 2 or 3 pubs around Ireland , they usually do more then 1 eg Ed Sheeran did Vicar St and Whelans last year .

    Hi

Has anyone suggestions where to go in Dublin? Have no tickets/passes arranged.. Just want a decent band/music..

    Tks!
try The Mercantile on Dame Street. loads of bands playing there, including Delorentos who are really good.

Smyths just commented on one of there posts that a secret act 'might' be playing there so my money is on smyths for Mumford and Sons, although I heard they were playing Dublin so either its bulls**t or hopefullt they will double gig :D

This is ****ing farce, the whole time its been 'no tickets this year', just noticed Whelans facebook posted this a few hours ago

"We are getting a lot of enquiries regarding passes for the Arthur's Day TV Special in Whelan's. As things stand there are no more passes to be had but we do have plenty of free entertainment happening in the bar and our upstairs venue."

So I'm guessing we can take it that the headliner will be on the main stage, where you cannot get access without a pass, which as far as I can see were barely made available to the public (or were they at all?)

Joke of a way to run it

Agree 100%. The whole Arthur's Day thing was supposedly first come - first serve this year, which I thought was an excellent idea. It's more first "Share" and "Like" by the looks of things.

Ellie Goulding is brilliant, less of associating WKD with her.

    Ryan Sheridan Music
Happy Arthurs Day 2012!! 4 Dublin gigs tonight, starting at 17.59pm in Copan in Rathmines, then going to The Temple Bar Pub on stage at 8pm, then off to Sinnotts Bar for a 10pm gig, last but not least taking the stage at midnight in the palace nightclub... To Arthur!

    of course they will.
last year almost every pub in Dublin city centre was packed and that was without any decent bands possibly playing in most of them.
the vast majority of people going out tonight couldn't care less if some washed-up DJ or forgetable popstar is playing....
pubs all around the country will be wedged this evening.
