Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Apple Care is a product that's essentially a warranty extension. It can only be purchased while a product is still in the standard warranty.

    http://support.apple.com/kb/index?page=servicefaq&geo=Ireland&product=iphone

Go here, on the left click Warranty & Service Pricing and then click the "My iPhone is not eligible for warranty service. What are my service options?" question.

Looks like it's €211 for a repair for a 4S from Apple Online including return shipping.

I'd take it to an authorised repairer like DMac on Ormond Quay in Dublin who might be able to fix it for cheaper.

    1) Upgrate iTunes to the latest version and install the latest version of
iOS on your device. Do a complete restore on the iPhone setting it up
as a new phone when finished (do not restore from a previous backup).
Apple will tell you to do this on the phone so it will save you some time.

    2) If its been opened or tampered with by anybody else (other than Apple)
you can forget about trying to get a repair from them. They won't touch
it if its been tampered with by a third party repair shop.

    3) If its still as it was when you got it and hasn't been opened/tampered
with call them on 1850 94 61 91. See how much they're going to charge
you for a repair and see if its worth it.

There's no authorised repair centres in Ireland for an iPhone. All they are certified for is mac. This was confirmed by apple only 2 weeks ago

If it's a software problem, then you'll surely be able to rectify it by either restoring or setting up as new through iTunes?
