    Hay,
    Im working on a project and need some advice,
    basically I need to operate a old school cooker ring,(i dont have a cooker to butcher up either)

    I know i need what the yanks called an Infinite switch to control it.(bi-metalic strip)

    what do they call them over here?
    cant find one on radionics

    or any other idea welcome,cheap as possible!

    Generally called a thermostat here. What are you trying to measure / control the temp of?

    Yes a simmerstat. Its not a thermostat as it has no temperature sensing of the ring, just a variable duty cycle controlled by the dial.
