I'm going up with a some mates of mine and thought I would post this here in case anyone else missed it.

Anyone here from the Doolin area? I ask because we have had to rent a cottage for the weekend as we could not find accommodation anywhere else. The cottage is 2 km out of the town centre and we need to find a local taxi service which can get us around as we don't want to be driving around since we will of course be drinking.

Anyone know of a taxi service in this area? Thanks in advance!

I'm sure if you ask behind the bar of one of the pubs in the village you'll easily get one.

    Festival sounds good!

    Brian Conway, Ennistymon 0866014141
    Brian's a bit of a character!
Pick up an ad pad in any of the local shops and as mentioned above the pubs will be able to provide numbers.
The hostel in Kilfenora would be a great option for others planning to attend the festival, 15 mins down the road and very well maintained.
    Have fun!

Dropped in meself & filled up me polypin (4pt airtight plastic jug) with O'Hara's bitter from the hand-pump. Lovely - 1st time I've drunk any decent ale in the 11 yrs I've lived here!

Sorry, not polypin (they're much bigger1) - this is the kind of thing I mean:

That looks really handy. How long would beer keep in one of those, Jim?

I think it's up to 5 days, but I'm playing safe & keeping it in the fridge then pouring out a pint in the morning so it's ready at room temp when I want to drink it in the evening!

I'm hoping the pictures didn't do it justice as that looks fairly sh1te. I love beer festivals and would put this on my list, but that looks like the crowd ye'd get at a christening or the likes.

I'm not going, but looking forward enjoying the atmosphere around the village for the weekend (while I work!), it was a great event last year :)

Makes a welcome change from the usual muck (Budweiser and Heinecken, aka p*ss and chemical waste) that is drunk by 99% of beer drinkers in this country.
