Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What Shampoo?

    Hi all

I get my hair coloured my natural colour every 5 weeks or so to cover the grey roots :(

I used to use pantene colour shampoo but my hair was very dry with it. The hairdresser recommended Redken for coloured hair which was grand at first but I'm going off it, it leaves a residue on my hair and it's gone dry again. Plus it's expensive and I can only buy it in the salon.

She said something at the time about Pantene/Dove being the worst you can use because of an ingredient they all have, which helpfully I can't remember now!

Anyway if you could recommend your shampoo and conditioner for coloured hair I'd appreciate it. I have red hair

    Thanks!

My own hair dresser warned me against using Pantene too, actually. She said its the equivalent to washing your hair with paint stripper, she said its full of harsh chemicals that dry out the hair and strip colour.

When I have the money, I buy Aveda shampoo/conditioner. Its very pricey but uses all natural ingredients so its very kind to hair.

For general use I don't think you can go wrong with the Aussie line, I find most of their stuff to be very nourishing and the colour protect shampoo they have is fab imo.

I used to use the Aussie stuff alright, maybe I'll try going back to it. I wish I could remember the ingredient she said to avoid using!

Mane n tail is actually really good and they have one for coloured hair, it's about 9 euro which I think is pricey enough for shampoo but that's for a massive bottle which last ages

Thanks Piper - I never even heard of that! Where can you buy it?

It might sound odd but it's a horse/person shampoo (yeah I know but I promise it's great)...loads of places doing it now, offhand mccabes in dundrum, I think it's mccabes in blanchardstown (the chemist beside ebs) and the chemist at the top of Camden street beside tescos but I've def seen it more places

Cool! I found a chemist near me that stocks it - can't wait to try it now thanks a million! Looks cool from what I've seen online too, thanks again :)
