Really hope Carroll gates something here, he's been treated horribly by the manager.

    How so?

If a player isnt in the managers plans that doesnt mean hes being treated badly.

Can see another goal for them, players dont look interested anymore.

Fcuking hell. Skrtel diving in and taken out of the game. Agger had to make ground to challenge. Long went down as if he was pole axed. Fcuking diving cnut.
P1ss poor pen. Serves Long right.
Come on the pool. We are dominating this 2nd half

    Infraction Again :(

thats a good manager west brom have, i bet liverpools clueless owners will be in for him before christmas, probably paying £20 million in compo as well ;)

Suarez should have a hattrick now. 2 free headers and a toe poke from 6 yards all wide.

We should submit an application to the FA to let him play in a Uruguay jersey....he has no problem scoring for them.

Better get rid of my Liverpool defenders from my Fantasy League team for this season...

Liverpool fans need to give Rodgers time.

    Cant expect miracles.

Ye were very good till first Goal.

Its OK lads, we can cheer ourselves up on Thursday when the Liverpool website post pics of the lads having great craic in training. I predict some rather hilarious ear flicking antics to take the edge off this loss.

I think the reason you hit the post so many times last year is because suarez finds it hard getting the ball between them . It could just as easily be 6 - 3 is nobody else noticing this.
Hes been great everywhere else he just cant score. Hes being pkayed out of position . Great player but not an out and out striker.
    Norwich are getting thumped too.

It is amazing that they are content to post nothing until the result is no longer in doubt.

Been some smokescreen sh1te posted by our own fans though.

Liverpool have not got enough guile when teams get everyone behind the ball. Its been like that for years.

If i'm an oppostion manager i'm telling my team to get bodies behind the ball. Let liverpool have it as they have not got the guile to break us down.

Wait for a chance to hit them on the break and it will come.

Swansea looked good because teams came out and played against them. Rodgers "system" is a whole different ball game when teams shut up shop.

Theres a distinct difference between keeping possession when another team can't get a kick, and keeping possession when the other side simply let you have it as they know you can do no damage.

Liverpool actually play well for the first hour or so but a cracker of a goal that little could be done about and 2 penalties in 3 or so minutes manage to loose the game.

Typical Liverpool, when's the last time we've even won a season opener??

What the hell was Agger thinking?

After I'd blame Agger for getting sent off.

Never seen a red card effect a game so much! Christ, rodgers bench decision was piss poor, cole and carragher should be nowhere near it yet of course they were called on

you have to look at the character of the team, it will be interesting to see if this is a feature of Rodger's Liverpool. How they bounce back from going behind.

Today they failed the test of character and failed miserably.

Have to say Gerrard has been really muck today not good :( We've given the ball away alot. There's no way we are getting anywhere the top 4... looks like the same story as last year... we haven't got a striker who scores goals..

Andy Carroll fouled, then he recieves the card

The worst part is how the players have just wilted, no desire to battle for anything.
The body language is terrible from almost every Liverpool player , utterly embarrassing :o:o:o:o:o

gota laugh at the utd fans in here :P pathetic shower of gimps the lot of em makes me giggle, i think it might escape there impressive mindset that we can tell we are sh1t and funny enough dont need them to be captain obvious.

That explains all the 3-0 win predictions at the start of the thread alright

He's treated badly, imho, when the whole thing is played out in the media as this bungled loan and sale was.

Doesn't help that we needed an in form striker for most of last season, Carroll was beginning to find something towards the end of the season, and based on the finishing in this game they still need a striker.

Although Carrolls overreaction to the challenge doesn't help anyone.

    I have to agree.

It was the stupidest, most obvious push you are likely to see.

No chance of getting away with it.

Was very optimistic going into this game, but cannot argue against how WBA played after the sending off. WBA deserved what they got today and fair play to them for trying to get more even after they were 3 up.

Still saw plenty of encouraging signs today, but those signs did not get a point or points on the table today.

We got knocked down badly today, but the test will be how we react to this beating.

Worst players in red today were Gerrard, Carragher, and Cole.

Andy Carroll fouled, then he recieves the card

He was fouled but also kicked out, and then they both had the tussle on the ground.

    Correct decision.

As mentioned already, sending off had a big impact on the game.

Surprised how poor Allen was today.
