    Hi,

I have recently purchased some calves off a guy selling them off a lorry, Belgium and limousins about 6 to 8 weeks old.

They are doing well out on the grass, and i was thinking of sourcing some more calves, And would be nice to cut out the middle man :)

I am based in Galway county. I was wondering does anyone know where i could source some nice CH or BB calves at a good price can be directly from a Dairy Farmer, the calves must be healthy and over 4 weeks of age.

The calves i bought two months ago are off the milk and on grass with nuts. And are doing well.

I dont get time to go around to the marts, but does any marts sell quantities of them. i.e. in Athenry, Loughrea, Ennis ....

Any advice or pointers, greatly appreciated...

    Thanks,

If you got on well with the calves you bought why not try a few more of the same guy.

Its probally the best option, He mainly stocked limousins, I was on the lookout for a few CH's or BB's heifers.

There is a chap near Moate advertising on DD. I bought some 8 week old sucks of him a few weeks ago. Turned out good stock and plan to go back to
Him myself. Have a search on DD and you'll find him.
I've no connection of course, just his stock were good and no messing about.
