It's unusual to watching a live Barca game at this time of the day in full daylight. The commentators said the last time they played this early was Christmas day 1965. There is worse things to be watching at this hour of the morning on a Sunday.

What a pass from Iniesta and surprisingly Sanchez manages to find the net.

12 o clock in the morning or 11 o clock at night, it doesn't matter, Barcelona never change. Sublime pass from Iniesta, composed Sanchez finish.

Great finish from a great, flowing team move.

    shock horror :p

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,868 ✭✭✭Andersonisgod

Messi! Goal! What wasso noticeable there was the sheer amount of runs and the quality of runs by Barcelona players off the ball. Typical of their approach this season.

35 goals in 24 games is absolutely ridiculous!

Really happy with the way were playing this morning (Sanchez scoring :O).

It's a master class on Sunday morning. I know they do it every week but you still have to admire the quality on show. If any other side produced a handful of performances like Barcelona do on a weekly basis they would be lauded to the moon, Barca do it every time they step onto the pitch.

Sometimes I think people take their performances and the incredible standard of those performances for granted.

Lovely pass from Alba (what a great addition to the side he has been) great finish by Villa. 3-0

Clever curled finish by Tello. 4-0

    Great finish by Tello

If anyone ever deserved a goal it's Iniesta today. Untouchable.

And Pique gets in on the act. Cracking start to a Sunday :)

Pique is the 3rd defender in history who scores twice the 6th goal of his team in a Liga game, after Seguer and Rekarte [via misterchip]

    lol, what a bizarre stat!

Probably given to them by Redout. Good to know he's alive.

Iniesta shouldn't be allowed on a pitch that far before the watershed...
Sometimes I think people take their performances and the incredible standard of those performances for granted.

It's usually given the cliché disclaimer about the quality they face etc etc

Jaysus, Bilbao just don't look like that team that took United apart from last year. They look ragged.

Whats going on there? I know the manager is nuts and won't pick Llorente but it must be more than that. It can't be just losing Javi Martínez albeit they didn't invest to overcome his loss as far as I can tell.

    7 bookings for espanyol, jaysus!

No Llorente, no Martinez and Muniain has been fairly average, relative to last year. They controlled possession for most of the match tonight but were absolutely ragged when defending. Susaeta still looks good.

    Barca 1 down to Granada.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 15,698 Mod ✭✭✭✭dfx-

    Striker was offside...

I had no confidence in Sanchez on the one-on-one in the lead up to the goal. I've seen the big two clubs get a lot weaker penalties than that against Fabregas a few minutes previously.

Memories of arguably the worst performance under Guardiola last season at Granada.

    Nice equalizer

Yeah I'd say thats safe enough. Granada might go defensive though.

Barca should bring on Iniesta for Sanchez and they'll get back into it.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,839 ✭✭✭Jelle1880

    Who else :D

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 15,698 Mod ✭✭✭✭dfx-

Should've had another assist too. Terrible offside decision again from that linesman.

#Messi scored 243 of his Barça goals with his left foot, 44 with his right, 12 with his head, 1 with his hand and 1 with his body. #messi300

    He's something else.

14 bookings in the Osasuna/Zaragoza game, that's mental.

Jaysus is there any striker haveing as poor as season as sanchez? Only scored one league goal and that was last week, pretty awful for a team that flows goals like barca. I only saw the first few minutes last night and messi put though a lovely ball and his first touch was septic. In saying that he took his goal very well last week

It was always going to be tough to follow last season but he has been struggling all season. Pedro too was struggling but now seems to have gotten luck and confidence back.

Sanchez this season summed up in 30 seconds

    Ramos sent off again :D

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 12,832 ✭✭✭✭Blatter

    Ramos;

    Goal
    Yellow card
    Red card

All in the space of 5 mins. Complete nutjob or as Dunphy would say, ''headbanger''

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,839 ✭✭✭Jelle1880

He's the biggest liability I can think of at any top club.

17th red in his career. As a Barça fan it pains me to say is a good player, but he is also a complete idiot.

I think he once called Ramos "McShane on steroids"
