Uses for Duct tape

What would you use Duct Tape for ?

1) Repairing tarp, tent, backpack, jacket, poncho
2) First aid securing bandage, waterproofing, plaster
3) heat shield around pot or cup
4) rope to secure tarp or tent
5) hose repair on your car
6) grip for knife or axe

thats all i can think of anyone else got any ideas

I reckon there are about a million uses for Duct Tape.
I heard it said before If it can'nt be fixed with Duct Tape it's not worth fixing.

1) Sealing doors and windows to help prevent radioactive dust entering and strips on windows to help prevent glass shattering into room.

2)Repairing everything and anything.keep soles on shoes,use to make shoes water proof and even make shoes out of it.

3) Make a water carrier.

4) Use as a belt.

5)Attach metal or knife to pole to make a spear.

6) Make a cap to keep sun off the head.

7)wrap around bandage to keep on and make waterproof.

8) Twist strips of it into a rope.

9) To bind person to stretcher

10) Patch clothes

11) Use for lashing when making chairs,tables,beds,shelters.

12)Hang strip of ceiling to use as fly catcher.

!3) Lashings making raft.

14) Use to stop leaks on Containers

15) Use to make handles on containers or to strap container to back to make easier carried.

16) Wrap on end of shard of glass to make handle and use as a knife.


A list of uses is probably endless.........

Myth Busters on discovery channel had a great programme on Duct Tape, it's uses if stranded on a deserted Island with a pallet of the stuff.

It opened my eyes to the unlimited potential of Duct Tape.
